Urbina landetxea is located in Burgueta,
a small village in the County of Treviño.
Burgueta appears in the donation of San Millán monastery, dated
in 1807, it reads: "In subillana et burgueta quator collazos...",
also appears Burgueta in the letter of Bishop Aznar in 1527 (Hergueta).
As a surname of toponymic origin we have Scemeno Garceiz de Burgueta
in 1087 and Diego López de Burgueta in 1325. The toponymic Burgueta
seems a composite of the Basque burgu "burgo" that connects
with the latin burgus, voice of Germanic origin burgs "Fortress,
Castle", and - eta indicating plurality.
It is located 15 km away of Miranda de Ebro and 20 km of Vitoria-Gasteiz,
provincial capital of Álava and autonomous community capital
of Euskadi - Basque country
